Telehealth at UIC

Cisco Webex Meetings is an approved solution for Telehealth at UIC. However, when using telehealth resources, please note important security reminders.

Webex Requirements and Best Practices for Telehealth:

Do not record Webex sessions unless the sessions are saved directly to a university-owned device that is encrypted with a university-approved encryption solution.

When using a personal Webex room, once your participant(s) have joined, lock your personal room by clicking on the “More” button (button with three dots) and select “Lock meeting”. This will prevent others from accidentally intruding on a privileged/private conversation. You will see the lock icon at the top of your screen to let you know that the meeting is locked. To unlock the meeting, go to “More”, and select Unlock meeting. You will also receive a notification for anyone waiting to join your personal room while it is locked.
